Caroline Wafula is a Parliamentary Reporter for the Nation Newspapers. She also reports politics and has written widely on governance, human rights and gender issues. She joined the Nation as a correspondent in 2007.

Before joining the Nation Media Group, Ms Wafula was a Senior Reporter with the People Daily newspaper. Her feature articles were also published in the Standard as a special correspondent while she was still a journalism student. She was awarded for journalism excellence by the Media Council of Kenya in 2012 and has been highly commended by various groups for positive journalism. She recently covered the 50th Session of the United Nations Committee against Torture in Geneva, Switzerland.

Ms Wafula is a 2008 BA graduate of the University of Nairobi (UoN), holds a Diploma in Journalism from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication and holds an MA Degree in International Conflict Management from the Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies (IDIS, UoN). She is also an alumnus of the International Institute of Journalism of Berlin, Germany (2009, 2010). She is the current Chairperson of the Kenya Parliamentary Journalists Association (KPJA).
