Upper Left: Kilelengwani Primary School, which was used as a temporary base for police. Villagers ran to the base for protection when the killers struck the village, but it is at the school that most of the victims, including the police officers were killed. The area mosque (white building at the centre), was used as a mortuary. Relatives streamed to the building to identify the bodies. Bottom: Villagers dig a mass grave for the victims.
