Suspected drug traffickers deported from Kenya

Five foreigners linked to an international drug trafficking ring were last Friday arrested in Kileleshwa and Kahawa West estates by the Antinarcotics detectives.
However, four suspects were deported but Immigration minister Otieno Kajwang rescinded the deportation order of one suspect, Peter Sessay, a Sierra Leone national said to have turned violent at the airport.
According to police, another suspect identified as Paul Maison is still at large and has appealed to court to block his deportation. He acquired a work permit after posing as an investor.
Nairobi CID boss Nicholas Kamwende said that the gang was planning to bring in several kilos of cocaine from Venezuela through Rwanda, and termed the arrests a big success in the fight against drug trafficking.
However, police are yet to establish how the group entered the country. They are said to be travelling on forged documents and diplomatic letters so that their luggage can be exempted from inspection.
