Police officer killed in Mandera attack

A police officer was shot dead and his colleague escaped unharmed on Thursday night after being attacked by assailants in Mandera town.

The three assailants also stole a G3 rifle in the 11pm incident when the two constables were heading to the Kenya Power depot on foot.

The constable is said to have been shot three times on his hand, neck and chin.

Meanwhile, an AP constable who went missing in Kipao, Tana Delta region last week is yet to be found.

He was in possession of a G3 rifle and 60 rounds of ammunition
