Central tops list of riot-hit areas

• Rift Valley Province has the second highest number of cases, having recorded 55.
• Following closely is Eastern Province with 53. Others are Nyanza with 27, Coast 24, Nairobi 19 and Western 8.

On Thursday, 12 students from Kabarnet High School in Baringo District were charged with attempted murder and arson.

This followed an incident in which a dormitory valued at Sh20 million was burnt down.

The charges were the most serious to be brought against any student following the wave of unrest, which led to the death of one student at Upper Hill School, Nairobi.

On Monday, 68 students were arraigned in a Thika court after nine buildings at Mbuguti Secondary School were razed.
