“We are not shedding more light now but we shall disclose them once investigations are completed,” he added.

Suspected Mungiki sect members blocked roads on Thursday using hijacked trucks and stones and lit fires, forcing transport operators off the road. They forced businesses to close in several areas.

Some of the towns affected were Nairobi, Kiambu, Nyahururu, Nyeri, Naivasha, Embu, Nakuru and Molo. In Thika, suspected Mungiki adherents were lynched on accusations of extortion and harassment of motorists and traders in the area.

If Mungiki had been in the United States, they would have been rounded up and taken to Guantanamo for "interrogation" as enemy combatants and the UN would not have been able to do anything about it. Developed countries routinely ignore the UN and just go about their business of securing their countries, only third world governments cower before the UN as if the UN is of any consequence. The UN cannot do anything, they can just say things, but most countries ignore them anyway.

You will notice that NSIS fellows are quick to post the first responses hell bent on spreading porojos and propaganda in the media - which they have infiltrated very well. Lets seperate truth from gimmicks. Pretending to be fighting stage managed crime does not ensure security. Cops are using the Mungiki excuse to perpetrate more crime and crack down on dissident unemployed youth.

What about the rights of the people that Mungiki have killed? Or property destroyed? How come Human Rights people don't shout from rooftops when thugs like Mungiki harass and kill innocent civilians? Give us a break! Exterminate Mungiki!

It does not matter what Mungiki are. There is absolutely no police force in the world that is allowed to kill extrajudicially. Its bizarre people actually think shooting 500 suspects without trial is ok. We are creating a monster in the police, and it will devour us one day.
