“The general observation made is that most of the beneficiaries were not intended allottees according to the registers and the green cards.
Apart from allocation made in 2005, the allocations made in the various settlement schemes prior to the 2005 did not have proper authorization,” the Task Force said. Most allocations (1996 to 2005) were not for development, but for political reward and speculative purposes.

Instead of following the land which has already been allocated to people, why should the government take an initiative to revive the tree planting day as it used to be long time ago (70's). People should be educated on the importance of plant trees and the foresters should step up to make sure that it happens everywhere in the country. Rain is needed all over and not only in some few places. Targetting a certain group is not healthy in our country. How many trees has Raila planted this year? be an example!

kenyans should not be surprised, these names seem to have eternal recurrence whenever impunity and disregard for the rule of law are mentioned in any sector be it land, energy, transport you name it.The question that begs to be answered is why these connected individuals are takin us down with them. because of their greed, arrogance n total disregard.they will not be there to suffer the consequences of their impunity but they should remember they too will experience these calamities e.g drought famine, poverty, crime,it is time kenyans said in one voice no more!

Kiplagat just doesn't get it. Why 1963 tet us go all the way to 1900. The everyone will have to say who setlled where first when and why they were removed. I am claiming Nakuru for the Kikuyu beifeore the white man sent them backing. Kericha and Kabianga for the Kisii and Nandi hills. History shows that this people were originally settled there before anyone else. To say let us use 1963 as a bench mark denying justice to others and trying to suggest that Kenyatta allocated land illigally. That is not the solution. people should leave water catchment areas.

When a government has no ideahow to provide and sustain services it should resign. Kenya has a whole body that is supposed to be responsible for the people and land of KEnya and yet they consistently fail in their responsibilities. Why on earth would anyone want to live there? DO KENYA'S LEADERS UNDERSTAND ANYTHING THEY ARE DOING? What is the point of reports if their recommendations are never taken seriously. IT is so sad.
