Going soft

The government was accused by the clergy, civil society and the public of going soft on the two scandals. On Sunday, Mr Obath said corruption in State corporations was caused by internal inefficiencies which must be addressed.

Bishop Wabukala, a member of the National Council of Churches of Kenya executive council, said no research into corruption had identified married couples working together as the cause. The main cause of corruption, and which he said must be tackled, was external business interests.

Are we having Anti Christs up there, or what is this dividing of families into pieces. What a society!

For 2 or more family members or spouses to be working in the same department or even ministry is a coflict of interest. In many cases that is how many companies have been driven to the ground and to the highest rates of corruption. That is a good move. Those complaining are those that are caught up in the rackets. If it gets worse, they can be transfered to different ministries. Caleb mauti

The only way it makes sense to have one marries/partner leave the agency is if they are in the same department and in work relationship where one reports to the other or where they are both signatories (have voting privileges) for financial decisions or transactions. Otherwise, it pure discrimination. What the government should try to do going forward is to set up better hiring policies so that isikuwe 'kujuana' that get you the job but, your qualifications.

And thats whats going to happen across the board , women are the ones who going to loose out.If the husband is the one who is corrupt fire him! If its the woman fire her!Mr Kinyua why dont you deal with the real problem when it comes to corruption. The Laws are there but the Govt. don't want to prosecute. The little man and woman get picked on again when the heavyweight are left to continue with to enjoy their spoils!!
