Find the cause of Mathira killings, Kibaki orders Saitoti

President Kibaki has ordered the minister for Internal Security to get to the root of the killings of several people early Tuesday in Mathira division of Central Province.

The President has also ordered security forces to provide detailed accounts of what transpired with a view to ensuring that such heinous crimes never recur.

The President said the killings were a matter of great concern to the nation and himself. He condemned the loss of lives. The President said the culprits must be brought to book.

He further ordered the minister for Internal Security to visit the area where the killings occurred and meet with local leaders and wananchi and address the issue. The President extended his sympathies and expressed his condolences to the families of those who have lost their loved ones.

He reiterated that the government cherished the sanctity of human life and would do its best to protect the lives and property of the nation’s citizens.

    This is terrible. A failed grabbed Presidency. If Kibaki can not protect the rest of Kenyas at least let him protect his tribes men
