In Summary

  • Minimum wage for agriculture workers is at Sh3,043 and for those under the general category in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu cities will get Sh6,130.
  • Workers shouted as the Turkana North MP extolled the government’s achievements.

Key government personalities including President Kibaki, Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka did not attend the celebrations marked worldwide.

    Kenyans are crazy!! How can you dare pay somebody 3K and you feel like you have done something to make it worse it is a salary increment. This is madness which the world is not meant to know.

    This is nothing compared to the amount this GREEDY ministers are getting, while hardworking Kenyans aren't earning enough...This is not compatable with the current cost of living, i think this govt. needs to re-evaluate this and this employers who overwork and underpay employees should be seriously penalised as they dont pay taxes for this underpaid employees they have....
