Boys at Konoina Community on Saturday absolved Father Renato Kizito of alleged sexual assault on their colleagues.

More than 100 beneficiaries of Fr Kizito’s benevolence also distanced themselves from two of their colleagues who claimed the clergyman sodomised them.

They claimed that the two were out to get money from the directors that Fr Kizito has since fired.

They said: “A prophet is never respected in his own city, but it is so painful for him to be rejected by the locals he has assisted for such a long time.”

Social workers, teachers and other members of the Konoina community that the Sunday Nation interviewed also defended Fr Kizito and pointed at boardroom wars.

In a separate interview, Mr Michael Ochieng, one of the fired trustees, alleged the boys had been paid to do so by the Father.
