According to the UK Border and Immigration Agency, which is responsible for controlling migration in the United Kingdom, persons who are married to or are civil partners of a British citizen and wish to apply for naturalisation as British citizen must meet mandatory requirements which include three years’ residency in the UK and good character.
“Hopefully, the Kenyan laws might change in the future and, one day, we might repeat our wedding in Kenya, ” said a defiant Mr Ngengi. A source close to Kenyan immigration said that because of the controversial gay wedding in London, it might not be in the ‘‘public interest’’ to allow Mr Gichia to enter Kenya.

True, will the two can be pursued to shed more light but their families can't be drawn-in to the manner in the Kenyan media has done it. What does a sibling 15 years younger who has never really lived in close quarters with newly-weds got to do with the matter or an aging rural parent with no real conceptual capability of such a wedding. They should be left alone. The media is crass. Who ever thought up that media bill knew smthing the rest of us slowly grasping.

If you wanted us to leave you alone, you shouldnt have accepted to appear in The Nation in the first place. We were just ordinary people going about our business until you invited us into your private affair. So, live with your decision. The elephant is already inside the "tent" and there is nothing you can do about it now.

…Hey people, If you are straight, bend, heterosexual, lesbian, bisexual etc, do yr stuff and mind your own business. When did we start judging other people's biological or psychological make-up? Bible, Laws, Koran, traditions, cultures are not the only tools that tell us how to live. Even if it is a crime to be gay, God is to blame...These guys didn't create themselves and if you think they choose to be like that, put down the newspapers and look for books! Also, if you don’t accept this, you should have lived 1000yrs ago; sorry, your birth came too late!!!

You're just a batch of rubble rousers, please get on with your lives. To all kenyans, tujipe shughuli. They're two consenting adults and there is nothing we can do about it.
