The Kenya Security Industry Association and the Administration Police have signed a memorandum of understanding to improve cash-in-transit services. The deal follows recent cases of theft.

The agreement is a follow-up of a joint meeting held last November to address the security of cash in transit.

Security firms and government agencies involved in ferrying cash committed themselves to reducing chances of attacks.

The APs committed themselves to provide adequate armed security escort, vetted and dedicated officers and conduct training in line with the set security requirements.
