Kenya’s chances of bagging the Big Brother Africa Stargame prize money reduced after its second contestant was evicted on Sunday evening.

Alex Chege 23, a student from Kiambu, was evicted from the house after his brother and game partner Malonza was kicked out two weeks ago.

He is the seventh housemate to be evicted from the Upville house.

Local musician Jackson Makini, popularly known as Prezzo, remains Kenya’s hope of clinching the $300,000 (Sh 25.2 million) prize money.

However, Alex not only be remembered for his 77-day stay in the house but for putting his fellow countryman on the chopping block by nominating him for eviction twice.

During his exit interview with the show presenter IK Osakioduwa, Alex said he nominated Prezzo because of his “uptight” personality.

Kenyans took to social media to express their reaction to the news of Alex’s eviction.

Among the reactions were: “@princessmos: Alex was a sell out. They should not even fly him here, atembee........ #BBAStarGame”.

‏Another read: ”@japho1 Alex is out, I bet he will have a hard time explaining why he was not patriotic. #BBAStarGame”.

And “‏@LaylaLestrange: Alex is going home! LOOOOOOOL that’s what you get for not being LOYAL #BBAStarGame.”

Prezzo, Kenya’s surviving representative, is among the top seven finalists in the game.
