KQ issues alert as pilots slow down

Kenya Airways (KQ) has warned passengers of minimal disruptions on flight schedules afters its pilots withdrew goodwill working hours.

The pilots covered under under the Kenya Airlines Pilot Association (KALPA) have done so with respect to the ongoing collective bargaining agreement (CBA) negotiations between the union and the KQ management.

Goodwill is being available for work during off hours within legal limits as approved by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).

"While the withdrawal of the goodwill may cause minimal disruptions, KQ will continue to operate its flights," said KQ in a press statement.

"Passengers affected by any cancelled or delayed service will be provided with hotel accommodation or endorsed to fly on another carrier," adds the statement.
