Minister denies incitement charge, freed on bail

Water assistant minister Ferdinand Waititu has been released on cash bail after he denied a charge of incitement to violence Thursday.

The Embakasi MP was charged with incitement to violence and disobedience to the law in a Nairobi court.

He had been arrested earlier Thursday after he led his constituents in resisting demolition of illegal structures on Kangundo Road.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on a Sh100, 000 cash bail.
