Politicians opposed to the draft constitution on Wednesday released the line-up that will spearhead the ‘No’ campaign in the next 90 days.

The Summit — the ‘No’ camp’s highest organ — will be led by Higher Education minister William Ruto and his Special Programmes counterpart Naomi Shaban. Several MPs from various parts of the country are also in the Summit.

The names were made public a day after Parliament gave the Attorney General the greenlight to publish the document without any changes.

The team will hold a series of public rallies across the country to drum up support for the document’s rejection. The rallies will start next week, according to Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny.

Mr Kutuny named those in the Summit as Roads assistant minister Wilfred Machage and MPs Kiema Kilonzo (Mutito), Mutava Musyimi (Gachoka), Mithika Linturi (Igembe South) and Cyrus Jirongo (Lugari).

But East African Community minister Amason Kingi who was named to the organ told the Nation he would make his stand known after going through the draft.
