This would have allowed all fundamental rights to be curtailed at any time on grounds of national security.
“We are expecting more of this but we shall not relent. The review process must go on,” said Mr Duale.
Similar views were also shared by Northern Kenya minister Mr Mohammed Elmi.
The ODM meeting also resolved to fully support the ‘Yes’ campaign.
Prof Nyong’o said they will Wednesday convene a joint PNU/ODM parliamentary group meeting to discuss among other things, a schedule of their rallies to drum up support for the proposed Constitution.
“We will be explaining to the people of Kenya the content of the proposed Constitution and to ensure that the ‘Yes’ campaign is of the people, for the people and by the people,” said Prof Nyong’o.
“ODM, as a people’s party, recognises that the passing of a new constitution is a people’s agenda and project,” he said.
