A five-judge bench of the Supreme Court will from Tuesday start the hearing of an application by Royal Media Services owner Samuel K Macharia over a Sh56 million dispute with Kenya Commercial Bank.

Chief Justice Willy Mutunga, who is also the court’s president, will hear the dispute alongside Judges Philip Tunoi, Jackton Ojwang, Smokin Wanjala and Njoki Ndung’u.

Mr Macharia and the receiver of his company, Madhupaper Ltd, are seeking the Supreme Court’s intervention to set aside a decision by the Court of Appeal to overturn a High Court ruling that awarded him Sh56 million against Kenya Commercial Bank, Kenya Commercial Finance Company Ltd and Kenya National Capital Corporation Ltd.
