Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka on Sunday urged tourists to ignore travel advisories and visit Kenya.

Mr Musyoka advised countries issuing travel advisories to be considerate of Kenya's economy.

He said Kenya's security forces are on high alert to ensure the country does not suffer any terror attacks.

“As a country we cannot allow even for a minute to be held at ransom by claims of terror threat,” Mr Musyoka said.

At the same time, Mr Musyoka has opposed the law barring non graduates from contesting for parliamentary, senate and governorship positions.

Mr Musyoka urged parliamentarians to respect the Constitution and defend it as they had sworn to do.

“All parliamentarians swore to defend this Constitution, which I believe is one of the best in the world and we should therefore desist from mutilating it” Mr Musyoka said.
