Two killed in Marigat livestock raid

Two people are feared dead and scores injured after 100 suspected armed Pokot cattle rustlers struck Arabal location in Marigat, Baringo County on Wednesday night stealing 1,000 livestock.

The raiders were spotted approaching Ramacha area, Arabal location on Tuesday evening.

The attack comes barely a week after more than 200 armed rustlers attacked the same village and stole 10,000 animals.

Police have been pursuing the raiders but no arrests have been made and no animals have been recovered.

The earlier attack led to the closure of six schools and more than 4,000 people to fled their homes.
