Two killed in refugee camp grenade attack
Two people died after a grenade was hurled at a food joint Friday night at Dagahaley refugee camp in Dadaab, northern Kenya.
Seven others were wounded in the blast, the Kenya Red Cross said.
The explosion occurred at about 8.30pm at the cafe popularly known as "Kwa Mkamba".
The joint is frequented by the locals who chew miraa (khat) as they while away the time.
The injured suffered multiple shrapnel wounds and wererushed to a nearby Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) hospital.
The KRC said Saturday that the seven were receiving treatment.
Immediately after the blast, a team led by KRC Dadaab base camp Disaster Response Team responded.
