Uhuru assures Judiciary of support

President Uhuru Kenyatta has said he will continue to support reforms at the Judiciary.

He said the three arms of government, that is, the Judiciary, Legislature and Executive, should work together in executing their responsibilities focusing on the interest of Kenyans.

“At the end of the day, it is my belief and understanding that we, as different arms of government, serve the same people.

“Working together, the executive, legislature and judiciary will take this country to greater heights. That is what Kenyans expect of us,” President Kenyatta said.

He was speaking on Monday at State House Nairobi when he presided over the swearing-in of deputy Chief Justice Kalpana Rawal and Secretary to the Cabinet Francis Kimemia.

President Kenyatta praised the two on their appointment and urged them to play their individual roles in pushing the country to greater heights.

“I have no doubt whatsoever in my mind that you are both capable individuals who will be able to help us move forward in transforming this great nation,” he said.

President Kenyatta reiterated that the path of transformation and development the country has embarked on should be supported by all.
