The National Assembly will from Wednesday commence the establishment of committees that run business in the House, starting with the Business Committee.

Majority Party Leader Aden Duale is expected to move the motion asking his colleagues to approve the membership of the House Business Committee (HBC).

With 32 members, the HBC will be the largest in the history of the Parliament. It must also be remembered that with 350 members, this National Assembly is also rather crowded.

The Jubilee Coalition has 15 and the Coalition on Reforms and Democracy (Cord) 14 MPs on the list.

John Serut (Mt Elgon) is the only Independent MP while David Were (Matungu) is the only United Democratic Forum (UDF) party MP.
