Some 900 volunteers will take part in a countrywide peace and reconciliation drive in areas that were hard hit by the post-election violence.
The United Nation Volunteers is sponsoring the programme, which targets 21 districts.
UNV country coordinator Ms Annet Mpabulungi-Wakabi said in Nakuru at the launch of the project that each district chose 50 people who underwent training in conflict management.
They will counsel traumatised people, prescribe peace-building mechanisms as well as disburse relief supplies.
