A Cabinet minister has threatened to quit if the Government does not address spiralling insecurity in his constituency.
Livestock Development minister Muhamed Kuti said the spate of attacks in which scores of people have been killed and cattle stolen by bandits had become unbearable.
Addressing a peace meeting at Merti in Isiolo, Mr Kuti said the attacks had impoverished his people.
“This should be stopped,” said the Isiolo North MP. “I can no longer stand seeing my people die like animals.”
The minister was reacting to the killing of more than 10 people in Merti early this week.
Two more bodies were Thursday recovered from a from.
