The Grand Coalition Government has organised a national conference aimed at helping the country recover from wounds left behind by the post-election violence.

This is in line with efforts to reconcile Kenyans following the chaos that left more than 1,000 people dead and another 350,000 displaced.

The conference titled: “One Kenya, One Dream: The Kenya We Want” will last three days from February 2, and will be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi.

Ethnic conflict

It will discuss policy solutions people must adopt to avoid future ethnic conflicts.

The forum will also provide the country with a platform to discuss ethnic conflict and how it can be alleviated using examples from other countries.

The conference is expected to strengthen ongoing efforts in national reconciliation and inter-group harmony that is a central goal for the Grand Coalition Government.

Ethnic respect can only come when the big tribe recognizes that others also deserve chances and respect. It cannot be achived through regislation. Do not bent realities for interests, otherwise brace for more chaotic kenya if equality is not upheld
