Eight cleared to vie in Juja by-election

Eight candidates were yesterday cleared for the Juja by-election.

They include former MPs George Thuo of PNU and William Kabogo of Narc Kenya. They presented their nomination papers to returning officer Bernard Kimani at the Thika municipal hall.

Also in the race are Mr David W. Kigwe of Farmers Party, Ms Alice W Ng’ang’a (Kenya National Congress), Mr Jackson K. Ngoima (National Alliance Party of Kenya), Ms Mary Kirika (ODM-K), Mr Francis N. Gaitho (Safina) and Mr Charles N. Muchai (DP).

Agano Party’s Stephen Ndicho and Mr Dick Githaiga of ODM are yet to present their nomination papers.

The Juja seat fell vacant after Mr Kabogo challenged Mr Thuo’s election.
