The entry of Kanu into the URP-TNA-UDF alliance is causing jitters in the nascent alliance with some members threatening to walk out.

Speaking in Narok on Saturday, Dujis MP Aden Duale blamed UDF led by Musalia Mudavadi of allegedly having sneaked the former ruling party into the coalition.

In this regard, Duale threatened to abandon the coalition if the former ruling party was allowed to join the alliance.

“Mudavadi was brought on board after lengthly deliberations led by deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.

The Jubilee Coalition has no room for the divisive politics practiced by KANU in the country,” said Duale.

The MP said this at Suswa and Duka Moja during campaigns led by Ruto in Narok County.

On his part, the Eldoret North MP said that the pastoralists have been marginalised for a long time and lamented over the poor road network in the area.

He regretted that the wheat and barley farmers in the region have continued to incur huge losses due to the poor state of the roads since their farm produce do not reach markets on time as the vehicles are stuck in the muddy areas.

Ruto observed that livestock farmers trek for long distances to sell their stock saying this contributed to animals losing weight, as a result fetching low prices that leave them to wallow in poverty.

During his campaign, he said that there would be a bruising battle between the Jubilee and CORD coalitions respectively in the coming elections scheduled for March 2013.

Information and Communications Minister Samuel Poghisio, Assistant minister for home affairs Beatrice Kones, URP chairman Francis Ole Kaparo and an aspirant for Narok East George Ole Meshuko accompanied Mr Ruto.
