Presidential aspirant James ole Kiyiapi has told fellow hopefuls who think the race to State House is a two-horse race that they are underestimating the competition.

“Even the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, thought he was in a league of his own until he was beaten twice by young Yohan Blake at the Jamaican Olympics trials,” said Prof Kiyiapi.

He warned politicians in the race to State House not to start chest-thumping. “The battle for State House this time round will pit forces of passion against those of desperation, trust against misrepresentation and those who are using the new Constitution as a conduit to lie.”

He was speaking to the Sunday Nation on Thursday from Eldoret town where he held a private meeting with North Rift elders and aspirants who plan to vie on a Restore and Build Kenya Party platform.
