Raila says ODM will not split

Prime Minister Raila Odinga has told off those predicting that ODM will split after its presidential nominations.
Mr Odinga said that some politicians are hoping that the nominations for the party’s presidential candidate will lead to divisions in the party .
“Our opponents are watching and hoping the contest (nomination for the party ticket) will degenerate but that will not happen,” said Mr Odinga.

Polls date
He was speaking in Hamisi district during the burial of Mr Paul Luyayi Khaniri, an elder brother of MP George Khaniri.
Mr Odinga said ODM had conducted grass root polls across the country and was confident of winning the next election with a landslide.
He said the party polls had shown that ODM is a popular party and had a high chance of forming the next government.
Mr Mudavadi who arrived at the funeral shortly after Mr Odinga had left, said ODM was prepared for the elections and Kenyans should be told the date in advance.
