Six set their sights on Kamukunji

Six candidates are eyeing the Kamukunji parliamentary seat.
They include former MP Mr Simon Mbugua of PNU, Mr Ibrahim Ahmed of ODM and Mr Yusuf Hassan of ODM-Kenya.
Others are Mr Brian Weke who will run on a Narc-Kenya ticket, Mr David Waihiga of Agano Party and Mr James Chacha, both of who are gunning for the PNU alliance ticket.
The initial battle will be in nominations for the PNU ticket ahead of the May 23 by-election.
Lost the seat
Mr Mbugua, who contested on a PNU ticket, and who lost the seat in a petition filed by Mr Ahmed, is expected to fight for the nomination with Mr Hassan, Mr Waihiga and Mr Chacha.
Kamukunji has more than 120,000 voters and the aspiring MPs have been traversing Eastleigh North, Uhuru, Muthurwa, Bahati and Majengo seeking support.
The ODM-Kenya candidate, Mr Hassan is the biggest threat to Mr Mbugua and Mr Ahmed who are seen as the front-runners.
He is said to be a great grassroots mobiliser and is popular among the youth.
