Sex pests warned to keep off schoolgirls

Chiefs in Matungu Division have been asked to crack down on men who make schoolgirls pregnant.

Raising the red flag on the trend, district commissioner Anne Ng’etich told chiefs and their assistants that they risked losing their jobs if the vice was not nipped in the bud.

District education officer Mohammed Kamaya said about 20 pregnant pupils dropped out of school recently. 

The warning was issued at a meeting called after six schools were affected by the problem.
