Police have smashed a motor vehicle theft syndicate involving the sale of stolen vehicles in West Pokot District and in a neighbouring country.

The district staffing officer, Mr Benjamin Onsongo, said the racket involved armed robbers who have been carjacking motorists along major highways in Nyanza, Western and Rift Valley provinces and later selling the vehicles within the district and in Southern Sudan.
