Relatives plead for Kenyans held in Migingo

The relatives of 11 Kenyans arrested by Ugandan security officers on Migingo island at the weekend have asked the government to facilitate their release.

The Kenyans were arrested after they protested against the theft of mobile phones from a shop owned by a Kenyan, allegedly by a Ugandan national.

The Ugandans yesterday sent in eight more security officers from Bugiri District.
