Two killed as lorry collides with bike

Two people were killed after a motorcycle collided with a lorry in Sarmach village on the Kainuk-Turkwel Gorge road.

Two passengers on the motorcycle — a man and a woman — were taken to Kapenguria District Hospital, 100 kilometres away, but died of severe head injuries and multiple fractures.

The rider was seriously injured and is receiving treatment at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret. The lorry was taking students of Muino Secondary School back to school.
