The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) is up in arms over claims of embezzlement of Sh7.8 million from a school in Narok North district.

Speaking at a prize-giving day at Mosiro area of the district on Saturday, the district’s branch executive secretary Boniface Kashu said the union was not satisfied that only the headteacher had been suspended.

He said the headteacher was not the only signatory to the school funds.

Mr Kashu asked why senior education officials were still in office two months after the principal of the school in Narok town was suspended over the problem.
