13 killed in Mwingi accident

At least 13 people died and several others were seriously injured when a bus lost control on the Mwingi-Garissa road on Monday morning.

The 62-seater bus veered off the road and rolled near Nguni market.

The Kenya Red Cross reported that of the 33 passengers who were injured, 30 were treated and discharged while three others remained admitted at Mwingi Hospital.

The Red Cross said the dead included five men, five women and three children.
