Government on the spot over gun crimes

Gun crimes in Kenya have resurged and put the spotlight on the proliferation of illegal firearms, especially in Nairobi.

High profile cases in the past week include the shooting of Youth PS Kinuthia Murugu, the killing of Kenyatta university lecturer, Prof Peter Kenya, the killing of a police investigator in Nyeri, Jonah Nzau and the shooting dead of three people in Nairobi's Eastlands area.
