Tourism has received a boost after German leisure airline Condor launched an additional, non-stop flight between Munich and Mombasa.
The carrier will take off every Wednesday from the Moi International Airport.

The Frankfurt-based airline already operates another direct flight from Frankfurt to the Moi International Airport twice weekly on Monday and Friday, terminating in Zanzibar.
Open up coast
Government officials said the additional flight will boost tourism by opening up the Coast.

“This is the beginning of a bright future as the tourism sector once again begins to blossom.  Mombasa is a competitive tourist destination, and Moi International Airport provides an excellent entry point for the coastal cities of Kenya and the East African Region,” said acting Moi International Airport Manager Danson Mwangi.
