Real estate firm, Superior Homes, is planning to list on the Growth Enterprise Market Segment (Gems) of the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) as part of its strategy to raise capital for expansion.

It has appointed Burbidge Capital as the lead advisers, PKF to offer accounting and business advisory services and A&K as transaction lawyers.

The funds raised from the listing will help the company embark on new real estate projects, the firm said.

“We have picked a superb team with a proven track record to steer us through this process and we are targeting for listing by introduction – subject to regulatory approvals – in the second half of 2016,” said Superior Homes Kenya managing director Ian Henderson adding that the move will help the company to grow its business to the next level.

Superior Homes is known for Greenpark Estate in Athi River that comprises more than 700 homes.

The firm is currently working on other projects that include a 50-room luxury hotel in Lake Elementaita.

“We intend to maximise returns for shareholders through our growth strategy,” said Mr Henderson.
