Huawei takes road show to Sub Saharan Africa

Huawei has announced the arrival of the Mobile Broadband (MBB) Huawei Truck in Nairobi, Kenya for its Sub Saharan roadshow.

The demo truck was previously in South Africa and will later visit Tanzania, Uganda, among other countries in Africa.

The main aim was to showcase their technology ahead of the country’s upgrade Long Term Evolution (LTE) popularly referred to as 4G.

“Technology is changing first ; we need to stay ahead of the game Huwaei’s products and solutions benefit a third of the world’s population, by showcasing them, we will benefit Kenya and the rest of the world,” CEO Huawei Kenya Mr Dean Yu said.

Since inception in 1998, the firm has helped Kenya grow in infrastructure, enterprise and devices.

Main achievements locally are expansion of wireless 2G, 3G and fixed ADSL, FTTx networks to telecommunication operators.

It has also plaid a big role in the National Fibre Optic and brings to Kenya affordable android smart phones.
