Uhuru calls for more intra-Africa trade

President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday urged governments to enhance intra-Africa trade through easing business conditions in order to lure investments and better lives.

He said this could best be done by improving infrastructure, reducing cost of electricity and filling the gap on disputes resolution.

“Africa governments must invest in ICT infrastructure as it helps enhance efficiency and we have to work together to fast-track implementation of electricity projects,” said the president in a speech read on his behalf by Treasury Secretary Henry Rotich.

He spoke yesterday at the opening of the Ease of Doing Business Initiative Conference at Safari Park Hotel.
