Carbacid’s full year net profit rises by 28.8pc

Strong demand for carbon dioxide for use in soft drinks and alcoholic beverages manufacturing raised Carbacid’s full year net profits by 28.8 per cent.

Increased sales by Carbarcid, which manufacturers and supplies carbon dioxide, saw its after tax profits hit Sh389 million in the year ending July 2012, up from Sh302 million last year.

Its revenues for the financial year ending July 31 increased by 60 per cent to Sh921 million, up from Sh576 million registered in a similar period last year.

Analysts at Standard Investment Bank noted in the daily report that demand for carbon dioxide has been strong over the year.
