New Jaguar Land Rover franchise holders in Kenya, RMA has opened the first of three outlets it plans to put up in the country by the end of the year.

With a capacity of servicing in excess of 20 cars in a day, the new workshop, located in Industrial Area, will serve fleets from corporates, tour companies, the government and other organisations who operate large fleets.

“This first workshop will offer top quality service to Land Rover fleet owners. We are in the process of setting up others which will serve individual customers from different locations,” RMA Kenya chief executive Sanjiv Shah said.

The company, which took over the exclusive Jaguar Land Rover dealership from CMC Motors, plans to open a showroom in the next three months before opening an additional service workshop before year-end.

“We hope to open a mega showroom in Westlands in August, one that befits the premium status of Jaguar Land Rover. We have already identified the premise and we are now in the final discussions with the landlord,” Mr Shah said.

Once fully operational, the three outlets are expected to employ more than 100 Kenyans.

Currently, the company has put 17 Kenyans under a training program conducted by experts from Jaguar Land Rover.
