Clan elders endorse Yatani for re-election

  • Wayu community becomes the 5th ethnic group from the county to endorse Governor Yatani for his re-election in 2017.

  • Community delegates came from as far as Ethiopia, Tana River, Isiolo and all sub-counties of Marsabit.

Marsabit Governor Ukur Yatani’s re-election bid received a boost after Wayu community threw their weight behind him.

Wayu community becomes the 5th ethnic group from the county to endorse Governor Yatani for his re-election in 2017.

This was done on Sunday during the community’s first conference held in Marsabit town.

Community delegates came from as far as Ethiopia, Tana River, Isiolo and all sub-counties of Marsabit.

Mr Yatani was also crowned as their elder by the Wayu spiritual elder.

The community leaders Dr Chris Galgalo and Nuria Gollo thanked the governor for enabling them achieve confidence to chart a course of unity and development reawakening.
