Four family members died and three others were injured on Friday in a road crash in Kirinyaga County.
Those who killed in the crash near Nyangati Village were two boys and their mother.
The seven family members were heading to Embu from Nairobi when the driver of the car they were travelling in lost control and it overturned.
The two boys died on the spot while their mother succumbed to her injuries at the Kimbimbi Sub-County Hospital.
The survivors, who include the father of the two boys, are being treated at the hospital.
"The injuries are serious and the victims may be transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital," one of the nurses at the hospital said.
