Girl killed in Maai Mahiu rollover crash

A girl aged 13 died after a vehicle she was travelling in rolled over in the Satellite area on the Maai Mahiu-Narok road on Sunday evening.

Four other people who were in the vehicle were injured and taken to the Mai Mahiu dispensary and later moved to the Naivasha Sub-County Hospital.

Joseph Mburu, the Medical Superintendent at the Naivasha Sub-County Hospital, said two victims were treated and discharged.

“Another child suffered head injuries and is still in a critical condition. A woman who sustained a fracture is admitted but is in a stable condition,” said Dr Mburu.

Naivasha police boss Titus Mathuku said the driver of the saloon car lost control of the vehicle after a tyre burst.
