Three dead in fresh Isiolo clashes

At least three people were killed and several others injured on Saturday morning in inter-community clashes at Lowangila in Isiolo County.
Isiolo County Commissioner Wanyama Musiambo who visited the scene and confirmed the incident said 40 cows were also killed when suspected bandits shot them during the fighting.
The county commissioner said security officers were pursuing the attackers who fled towards the Isiolo Bufallo Springs Park.
Another security team, he added, had been dispatched to enhance security as there are fears of retaliatory attacks in the volatile area.
“We will be able to give out more details after the operation is complete,” he said.
Mr Musiambo said one of the victims who sustained serious gunshot wounds was taken to Kenyatta National Hospital while the rest, whose numbers were not immediately known, were taken to the Isiolo General Hospital.
