Moi Girls High School, Vokoli will be moved after its premises were taken to pave way for the establishment of Vihiga University of Agriculture and Technology.

The current structures belonging to the school will be given to the proposed university, an offshoot of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi said they already have Sh150 million to start construction of a new complex for the girls.

“We are in the process of buying land after which construction will begin,” Mr Agoi said. The project will cost of Sh250 million.

Some Sh10million from Constituency Development Fund will be used to buy the land adjacent to the school so the university gets enough land.
